Pascale Gayford has a lifelong interest in identity, belonging and culture and have an MA in Intercultural Relations from the Universities of Kent and Lille. She has been working and volunteering in the asylum and refugee sector since 2005 and have held caseworker, coordinator and management positions. For the last 5 years, Pascale has been working at Refugee Action in the Good Practice and Partnerships Team. Our team works mainly externally with around 250 organisations each year, supporting them to connect and develop services and share learning and practice which is rooted in access to justice and early action, informed by meaningful engagement with experts by experience, sector insight, and human and community centred design. She is also a trustee of Solace Leeds – which provides wellbeing and mental health support for refugees and asylum seekers in Yorkshire and the Humber. She sings in an unofficial choir and is a proud mum of two wonderful girls. Pascale loves gardening, reading, hiking and running and have an allotment in which sometimes she grows things successfully.
